How Everything Started
What started as the vision of the founders, Dr. Alfonso J. Henriquez and his wife, Lina Silva-Henriquez, has turned out to be a one-stop destination for high-quality pediatric care. Our clinics run on the same mission of delivering compassionate and child-friendly care to the diverse community in Florida.
The foundation of SuraMed Health Center was based on more than a decade of experience working together at a previous clinic. They both imagined a place for parents that can be home for all kinds of routine pediatric and emergency care for little ones.
The Origin of the Journey
Dr. Henriquez himself belongs to a proud family of Physicians and healthcare specialists. Post his graduation from the medical school in Colombia in 2000, he took the next step to pursue his medical career in the United States. He saw the new challenges of the new nation and continued his medical learning phase along with his passion for a weekend music band.
During a visit back to Colombia, Dr. Henriquez met Lina and remained connected in a long-distance relationship during his master’s degree. Further, their journey in 2009 brought them to a marriage in Florida. Both started building a life with a mission to serve families and communities.
Since that day, Lina, along with Dr. Henriquez, has been one of the crucial pillars behind the success of SuraMed Health Center. Today, our clinics across Palm Beach County and Port St. Lucie proudly serve more families and parents. They have made SuraMed Health Center a place of pediatric care with genuine compassion to treat every family and child with respect, understanding, and dedication.
