She was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She received her medical doctor degree from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de la Havana in 1990. She completed her Residency in Pediatrics at Ponce School of Medicine Hospital Episcopal San Lucas Ponce in 2006. Before joining SURAMED Health Center PA, she practiced in different pediatrics and general medicine fields, including ER and Pediatrics in Hospital units in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Florida.
She has been working as a general pediatrician in Florida since 2009. She has been a mentor and trainer for Pediatric Residency and Nurse Practitioners in Puerto Rico and South Florida. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Certified by the American Board of Medicine.
